KPN VISITS FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, BIRNIN KEBBI

Kebbi Progressive Network (KPN) had the privilege of visiting the Federal Fire Service Command in Birnin Kebbi and holding a productive discussion with the Commandant. During the visit, KPN and the Commandant talked about several important issues, especially areas where KPN can support the fire service in public awareness and community engagement. The Commandant explained the responsibilities of the Fire Service, how they respond to emergencies, and the challenges they face in keeping communities safe. He also appealed to KPN to help increase public awareness about fire outbreaks, especially during this dry season when the risk of fire incidents is higher. According to him, many people still do not know the official fire emergency number, which makes it difficult for timely response during emergencies. The Federal Fire Service has requested KPN to help spread and educate the public on their emergency contact so that citizens can quickly reach them when fire occurs. KPN will work to share this number widely and continue helping in community sensitization, safety education, and public awareness campaigns. KPN remains committed to supporting institutions that protect lives and property across Kebbi State.
